The group currently taking care of Osho’s property has come with the last testament and will of Osho.

The will was presented in a Spanish court which is going through  a law suit filed by Lotus Commune relating to trademark claims over Osho International Foundation in Zurich.

The last will of Osho was filed in court by Swami Prem Niketan.

At the same time, the rival group lead by Yogesh Thakkar (Swami Prem Deep), including Osho Friends Foundation has claimed that the will is fake.

The will which is dated June 16, 1989, was drafted in Pune and has given Anand Jayesh (Michael O’Byrne) authority for execution.

The will also has signatures of Swami Amrito (John Andrews) and Prem Niren (Philip Toolkess) as witnesses.

The will gives all  “rights and titles to Neo Sanyas International Foundation’’ which is a Swiss charitable trust.

The will has come as a surprise to disciples of Osho who had been fighting for right over Osho’s writings and properties. The disciples like Thakkar have filed a suit in the court of Justice U L Pathak challenging the will to be forged.

The suit filed by Thakkar and other has raised questions on the surfacing of the will after 23 years. Additionally, they have motioned that Osho had made it clear that he would never have a successor.

“Osho always used to sign documents at the eight o’clock position, while in the will the signature is at the five o’clock position.

“Also, if O’Byrne had the will in his possession for the past 23 years, why had he kept silent about it?” asked Thakkar.

The suit had asked for ad interim relief for the will.

Ma Amrit Sadhana, spokesperson of the Osho Commune, declined to comment saying the matter is sub judice.
