Osho in controversy again: Disciples allege ashram funds amounting to Rs 300 crore swindled by trustees

Dailybhaskar.com, Aug 10, 2013, 05:30AM IST Pune: Two disciples of Osho Ashram in Pune have alleged that funds to tune of Rs 300 crore have been swindled by trustees of the Pune-based ashram to their private accounts. The disciples have reportedly filed a writ petition in Bombay High Court demanding that matter be investigated. DNA reported that the petition, bearing number Civil WP-5300/2013 dated 10/06/2013, has been filed by Yogesh Thakkar (Swami Prem Geet) and Kishor Rawal (Swami Prem Anadi). The petition refers to an application for interim relief made to the charity commissioner in December 2011 and the delay taking place for hearing of the same. The petition has produced evidence of transfer of funds and assets before the high court and seeks various reliefs. Partha Sarathi Biswas, Indian Express, Fri Jan 11 2013, 01:39 hrs The Bombay High Court on Monday passed an interim order halting the “further alienation” of a Koregaon Park property that has been in the eye of a storm for the past two years owing to a legal battle between the Osho International Foundation 9 (OIF) and other disciples of Osho. The 5,387 square metres property (CTS 3) was gifted by the OIF to the New Delhi-based Darshan Trust in 2011 after filing an application with the office of the Charity Commissioner of Mumbai.
